Braucol is a dark-skinned grape variety used mainly in the appellation wines of South-West France.
This is a very deep-coloured and characterful wine with hedgerow fruits and violets on the nose, blackberry and blackcurrant flavours, and a delicate smokiness.
Its rustic nature lends itself to dishes of the region like cassoulet or duck confit.
